1972 Local Chevrolet commercial with Jerry Smith & Walt Rock of the Washington Redskins

Great local ad from 1972 with Walt Rock and the great Jerry Smith of the Washington Redskins. Smith caught 421 passes and scored 60 TDs as a TE, a record he held for nearly 25 years. Smith died of AIDS in 1986. It is believed that he was the first former professional athlete to die of the disease. Both Rock and Smith played in the 1973 Superbowl, ultimately losing to Miami.Visit my blog at
